Eye Consultations
We allow plenty of time to examine each of our patients individually. Please allow an hour or so for your visit. Unless you have an emergency, surgical cases are booked for a future date following your consultation.
Consultations and examinations may include the use of
- Slit-lamp biomicroscopy
- Tonometry
- Direct and Indirect ophthalmoscopy
- Gonioscopy
- Ocular ultrasonography
- Electroretinography
- Blood pressure measurements
Eye Surgeries
- Cataract extraction via phacoemulsification including artificial lens implantation
- Lens luxation surgery
- Corneal grafting surgery
- Entropion and eyelid reconstruction surgery
- Distichia and ectopic cilia surgery (Cryoepilation & electroepilation)
- Cherry eye repositioning surgery
- Medial canthoplasties
- Evisceration and intrascleral prosthesis implantation
- Parotid duct transposition
Consultations are carried out daily in Peteyevet in Midleton, and monthly at The Veterinary Specialists Ireland in Meath, and fortnightly in Faxbridge Veterinary Hospital, Clonakilty.
